WELCOME!

Posted by on Tuesday, November 23, 2004 (EST)

Welcome to the GML Experiment area of TransXML...

Over the next few months, we will be conducting a brief “experiment” to explore the use of Geographic Markup Language (GML) as the basis for new XML schema to be developed under the TransXML project.

The scope of this experiment is posted in the Discussion Forum.

The schedule of milestones is posted under Project Information - Project Documents.

See the Sources and Resources area for more information about GML.

Your participation in this experiement is welcomed - Join the working group by checking off “GML Experiment“ on your TransXML registration profile.  Working group members have access to all of the materials posted and can submit comments on these.

You may also submit comments via email:  transxml@camsys.com.

Experiment Update
By Paul Scarponcini on Friday, January 14, 2005 (EST)
A draft of the experiment summary report is now posted in the GML Working Group section of the site. If you are already a member of the GML working group, please review it and post your comments in the GML Working Group Discussion Forum. If you are not yet a member of the GML working group, you can become a member by editing your TransXML profile to indicate GML as an area of interest. (Since this is a manual process to add working group members, there will be a short time lag).
